The renos

I just thought I would share a few pictures with y'all.
Here's the back of our house. Everything on the back of the house will be gone. The lean-to kitchen, the covered patio...GONE.

Here's my old kitchen emptied out...

Here's the first hole being made, so the stove can be moved into the dining room, now the temporary kitchen that one day will be our study/office.

And the temporary kitchen...(the dishwasher is in the laundry. we can't live without the dishwasher! LOL)

The builders are going to move some cabinets out of the old kitchen to put up on the wall, so those tuppeware containers will have a home off the counter. Not sure what is better, the particleboard counter in the temp kitchen or the wretched tile counter in the old kitchen.

Thanks Vic and Uta! I painted that kitchen red when we moved in. We also put down the black and white floor tiles. My biggest regret was not ripping out the tile counter. It's horrible!!!

Vic, the colour is fire engine red by Wattyl except I wanted oil base which Wattyl didn't/doesn't make, so I had the colour made up in Dulux oil base. Came out a treat!

Ooooh... I'll keep that in mind for when I have a kitchen I'm allowed to paint lol.

Our last place had a tiled bench too so I feel your pain... who on earth could have ever thought that would be a good idea...?!

How exciting! You should cope fine now that you have the temp kitchen and dishwasher intact! Keep the photos coming. Love, love, love the red kitchen!

Ok first up I have to say that I love your coffee machine! You are indeed a brave woman to be living around your reno's but it will be worth it in the end I am sure. I hope they go well.
